7-16-2010 Rock Rapids HRA 410 Show “Yes, it is over now” LOL

Raced tonight at Rock Rapids 410 Show and had fuel issue and missed heat race and Started 14th last in B main. Raced to 4th and got a transfer to ‘A’ main started 19th and went to 13th when hit a hole and spunout.. Many crazy drivers out there, so called it a night! Crazy night to say the least, even had a Fuel stop in a 25 lap race. I think there were 40 yellow laps tonight?

Didn’t help at all getting run over by a push truck either (not many have seen this happen before!) A side panel and left shock was bent, so a little off on shock travel in the ‘A’. Maybe the guys Truck Insurance will kick-in on this one LOL

Black Hills Speedway was Pretty Full tonight when they were able to see the #9 Win by many car links.

#9 Aaron Wendt Wins Heat Race and the ‘A’ Main Tonight!!! His first 360 WIN!! and the Empire Team…

Double feature Night, He was 5th in First Feature, Won his Heat race and Won the Main Event!!

7-01-10 WOO Show was Good, but we had hard time

The #9m strugled a lot through the night and never made it out of the B Main. The Track was Wet and heavy and we really had a hard time adjusting tonight, but will bounce back. Was fun to see Sammy move to the front for the WIn!

6-18-2010 Rock Rapids Speedway 410 Show

Needless to say it was a Wild night for the whole Empire Team. We started to go to the race and had the Truck blow out the Transmission. We were able to get a Friends helping hand to barrow a Truck from Select Motors in Sioux Falls.(Thanks Tim!!)

WE made it to the track in time and finished 6th in our Heat Race. It was a 30 car field Tonight, Great turn out!! After making some changes and replacing the front brake caliper and pads, Marlon drove the car to a Blowout WIN in the B Main!

Transferring us to the A MAin we started in 16th place and the 9m was moving to the front, making it to 9th before the right rear blew out (later finding a large hole cut in tread,must have been a shape piece from some of the blown motors during the night) This put Marlon in the back now and he was able to drive to 8that the finish! Great job Marlon and the whole Team!! Fun night even with so much trouble.

2nd night at Huset’s this year shows good improvement!

It has been a challendge for all teams this year trying to work with GOODYEAR tires and there sizes and wear issues, but we are getting close.

Car is fast and we are moving up!

#9 Aaron Wendt Found the turn 1 wall on the very first lap of the A Main Friday night. He flipped about 5 times,wrecking most of the car, but came out ok with no harm to himself other than a bump or 2. He will think twice next time on that move.. The top 2 finishers had heated arguement after race disqualifying winner and awarding 2nd place. Fists raised and Harsh words from both filled the air in the Hills that night. We should have photo’s soon of the crash… Let’s make this the last one ok!

The Empire Racing #9m 410 Sprint Car Raced in Huron Sd at the Fairgrounds and missed the Heat race with a broken bolt in rear brake system. We fixed it in time for A feature and started in last place 25th. marlon was Fast moving up 6 spots before first of many Yellow Flags and 25 to 30 laps on yellow CRAZY! He then Raced to 9th with 2 laps left and ranout of fuel as a few others did because no fuel stop or Reds and bad Track management of a High profile race! We were really bummed out out, but we will rebound!! Great run Marlon!!
